Robotic joint replacement: what the evidence really shows

Robotic-assisted arthroplasty improves the accuracy of implant positioning — that much is well established across multiple registries.\n\nWhat is less certain is whether that accuracy translates into meaningfully better function at ten years. Early results suggest reduced soft tissue trauma and slightly faster early recovery, with equivalent outcomes at one year.\n\nWe offer robotic assistance because precision is a reasonable proxy for longevity, and because the planning software helps in complex deformity. But a well-performed conventional replacement by an experienced surgeon remains an excellent operation.
